Meet The Staff
Juana Marin, RDA
Pursuing dentistry as a career was a decision made at a young age. Dentistry is a one of a kind field because it combines art, business, science, and health all into one. I moved from the big city of Dallas to the tiny town of Venus in second grade. I went on to pursue my bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University after graduating from high school. graduated with my bachelor’s in biomedical science with a minor in chemistry May 2018. During my time at Tarleton, I was a science and math tutor, an active member and leader for pre-health organizations, and conducted undergrad genetics research to study the mitochondrial and nuclear genome. I also became very active in the community in raising money for clinics and volunteering at a dental clinic that provides free care to low-income families, and volunteering in the nursing station at Texas Health Hospital. Volunteering has allowed to me to use my hands for service and be an open ear to care and treat patients. It is something I enjoy a lot and will continue to do as a dental assistant for Dr. Carr’s Inspiring Smiles.
I enjoy getting to know every patient, growing my knowledge clinically and working closely with Dr. Carr to provide the best care and service possible to our patients. I will continue to learn from mentors and leaders like Dr. Carr to better educate our patients the importance of oral health and how it affects their overall health systemically. I am currently applying to dental schools in hopes of becoming a great dentist like Dr. Carr to provide further dental care and devote my passion for dentistry.
